Day: 1
ARRIVAL ISLAMABAD / PESHAWAR
A member of the Vertical Explorers staff will meet you at the airport and escort you to the hotel. Today either you can relax or you can enjoy an exploratory walk in the old part of Rawalpindi; wander past the vegetable and spice markets, beautifully carved old houses and trucks, cows pestering the vegetable vendors, catch traditional craftsmen at work in silver and gold bazaars .You will then continue on the main street linking the Twin cities - Murree Road - before arriving at the gleaming new capital, Islamabad. You pass shining new buildings and thousands of park areas - a full 50 percent of the 350 square mile site is set aside for parks. You will then stop at the Shakar Parian to catch a bird's eye view of Islamabad. Our next stop will be Shah Faisal Mosque which is the landmark of Islamabad.

Day: 2
ISLAMABAD / PESHAWAR - DIR
Today we will start our journey by morning towards Dir valley. On our way we will have short break at Taxila, the heart of Gandaran Civilization. Passing the Frontier town of Mardan and Takht-e-Bahi, the most impressive and complete Buddhist monastery in Pakistan. Passing through Takht-e-Bahi we cross Malakand Pass and descend down to Swat valley. Our drive from Islamabad to Dir is about 300 kilometers and its takes about six and half hours to reach this heavenly place.

Day: 3
DIR – KALASH
From Dir it takes six to seven hours drive via Loweri Passes to reach Chitral and Kalash valleys. This drive to Chitral via these pass is spectacular and you will enjoy each moments of our drive long drive. The Lowari Pass at a height of 3,100 meters with zigzag descend with breathtaking views of Chitral valley are as fascinating g as any other alpine valley.

KALASH -- FREE DAY
Today is reserved for a day hike over to the other village of Kalash Valley, for our lunch we will be having packed light lunch with us with some juices and biscuits. It’s a magnificent short trek into the beautiful Birerr.

Day: 5
KALASH - SHANDUR FESTIVAL
Today morning from Kalash valley we will drive to Chitral town and further north to Shandur Polo festival at Shandur lake, where the 800 old game of kings and king of games Polo is the hall mark of three days activities.

Whole day is free to rest and enjoy the polo match.

SHANDUR POLO & KITE FLYING DAY
Today there would be events of Kite flying and Polo during the day. Our experts will teach kite flying and later on a contest among the trip members will be held. Rest of the day free for Polo match and during night a musical concert will be held comprising fold and traditional music with dance of Northern Areas.

SHANDUR POLO - PHANDAR LAKE
After final Polo match we will drive to Scenic Phandar lake in Ghizer district Northren Areas.

PHUNDER - HUNDRAP LAKE
Today after breakfast drive to the beautiful Hundrap lake for trout fishing in one of the most beautiful lake of Northern Areas which is alos the source of world's healthiest trout fish. Whole day will be reserved for fishing and wilderness hiking.

NALTAR – HUNZA
Leave for Hunza, driving along the Hunza river on the Karakoram Highway which links China with Pakistan. The valleys of Hunza and Nagar are some of the most beautiful valleys in the northern parts of Pakistan. The people of this area are known for their legendary good health, longevity and hospitality. Rakaposhi accessible only by 4 to 5 hrs. Walk from the road, dominates the whole valley. This area is full of apricots, apples, grapes and peaches. After 4 hours drive through this beautiful valley, we will reach Gulmit Village, a lovely remote village of Hunza.

Early morning visit to Borit lake, Passu glacier and Husaini suspension bridge and evening drive back to Minapin for a rest in Minapin village Nagar.

MINAPIN - FAIRY MEADOWS
Today after breakfast drive to Riakot through the meeting points of world three largest congregation of mountains at Shigarpa before Juglot, is an adventure in itself. Then further drive by jeep to Tato & hike to Fairy Meadows.Tato: The steep and difficult ascent on a rocky trail will lead the group to a small hamlet of Tato which is comprised of few clay lofts scattered around. This village is inhabited by the upright and fierce yet very hospitable Chilasi people whose origin is Kohistan.Fairy Meadows: The traditional base camp of Nanga Parbat, known as Fairy Meadows. The local people believe that this beautiful place is an abode of fairies and ghosts. The lush green plateau presents some of the most spectacular sights one can ever witness. One forgets the tiring walk up to this magnificent site when one beholds a landscape of rushing torrents with a panoramic back - drop of the mighty Nanga Parbat

Terraced villages dot this monumental terrain, supported by traditional farming methods and lifestyles that have changed little over the centuries.
