K2 Base Camp Trek: Embark on a legendary journey to the base of the world’s second-highest peak, K2. The K2 Base Camp Trek is a challenging yet rewarding adventure that takes you through the heart of the Karakoram Range. As you traverse rugged trails and glacier-carved valleys, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of towering peaks, including Broad Peak and Gasherbrum IV. Along the way, encounter the vibrant culture of the Balti people and camp beneath a blanket of stars in some of the world’s most remote landscapes.
We consider the following attributes to classify a trek as ‘Easy trek.”
As per fitness required for easy treks, you must be having an active daily routine. Meaning, you should be comfortable walking 3 Km in 45 minutes with a load of 5/6 rucksack.
For your first trek, these are the most suitable option. You will get choice of treks in Swat, Chitral, Kashmir, Ghizer, Naran Kaghan, Hunza, Skardu, Shigar, Khaplu and Deosai. Many of these treks are equally charming even if you have done prior treks in the region.
Most of these treks require you to camp, i.e. to stay in tents. Few treks are Tea House or Homestay style treks where you will stay in small lodge/homestay accommodations.
We recommend some of these as family friendly treks, where you can take your kids as well.
Choosing right season for the trek is equally important. There is a trek for every season, be it spring/summer, fall/autumn, winter or even in monsoon.
You are likely to walk for 6-7 hours each day over steep hilly terrain on usually rough trails but no real extremes of weather. Moderate trails entail reaching up to 5500m with daily ascends of around 400-700m. You will also be facing high altitude air with low level of oxygen on some days and are therefore required to have a positive attitude and be physically fit. Previous hiking or camping experience is preferable.
We have graded each Strenuous Trekking in Pakistan based on the level of terrain, length of walks and climate. Treks graded easy and moderate would be suitable for almost anyone with a lust for adventure while treks graded difficult and/or strenuous requires a certain amount of experience and physical health. see Trekking Fitness
Our Strenuous Trekking are designed to be accessible to all who are in good health and enjoy the outdoors, but fitness levels are important and you should consider carefully which trip is right for you. We consider the following attributes to classify a trek as ‘Moderate trek.”
Defined trail with occasional surprises. May require you to adapt or maneuver on tricky sections. The trail may contain walking on different type of terrains like boulders, scree, mud, snow, ice, moraine etc. like trekking on Baltoro Glacier

Within 80 Km.
On an average 6/7 hours per day. There can be a day of 4/5 hours walk and an odd day with 8/10 hours.
Between 6/10 to 7.5/10 in relative scale.
Within 16500 ft/5000 m.
Up to 3500 ft/1200 m per day on a strenuous day.
The Northern Areas of Pakistan are called Roof of the World . Nowhere in the world is such a great concentration of high mountains, peaks, glaciers, and passes except in Pakistan. Of the 14 over 8,000 meters high peaks on our earth planet, four occupy an amphitheatre at the head of Baltoro Glacier in the Karakoram Range: K-2 (8,611 meters, originally called Chogo-ri which in Balti language means ‘king of the mountains,’ of all the world’s mountains second only to Mount Everest), Gashabrum-I (8,068 meters), Broad Peak (8,047 meters) and Gashabrum-II (8,035 meters). There is yet another, which is equally great, Nanga Parbat (8,126 meters), located at the western most corner of the Himalayas. There are 42 other peaks which are higher than all the highest peaks of the other continents. In addition to that, there are 160 peaks over 7,000 meters and 700 others over 6,000 meters. The Northern Pakistan is also home to some of the longest glaciers outside Polar region; Siachen (72 kilometers), Hispar (61 kilometers), Biafo (60 kilometers), Baltoro (60 kilometers) and Batura (64 kilometers).
